The sound you hear is the long sigh of relief. I finished my second semester of teacher-certification courses on Saturday. There are two weeks of school left here and I doubt I will get more than a day or two of substitute teaching calls. My oldest child graduated from college on May 8. Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh.
Of course, into every life a little rain must fall. Or a lot of rain. We returned home a week ago. It has rained every day since. Our grass is getting really tall. I'm trying not to freak out about it. The Cardinals also fell out of first place yesterday for the first time since last July 30. They've been playing horribly and it hasn't been much fun to watch. I'm trying not to freak out about that, too.
Luke is interviewing for jobs in New York. He had a second interview last Thursday and hopes to hear back about the job today. I'm NOT freaking out about this, just praying a whole lot. This article is enough to scare any parent of a recent college graduate.
Hope to see you around here more often this summer, if anybody's left out there.
Blessings,
Sandy

Oh we are on a similar path; our oldest is starting high school in the fall and I just received my CEs - certificates of eligibility - and will hit the job market for the fall. Blessings
Congratulations to Luke! And to you for getting another semester behind you.
We had a sermon on worry yesterday. I could preach it to you, but I'm pretty sure you've heard it before. Sometimes it's important to remind ourselves, though.
Enjoy your family's wonderful accompoishments!!!
I am happy to hear what Luke is doing....I thought he might have already gotten a job...
Best wishes on his job hunt!
@Allison, Welcome! I really enjoy your articles at YIMC so I'm very happy to hear we are on similar paths. I'll be anxious to hear how your job search goes. I will be student teaching next spring and then hitting the job market.
@Amy, Thanks for your encouragement. See what you have to look forward to with your kids?
@Donna, we thought he might have a job by now, too. ;) With the job market the way it is, a couple of opportunities dried up. He had one opportunity here at home but wanted to stay in New York. I can't blame him. He's got a nice apartment with nice roommates and reasonable rent. Praying now for the job.
